Our projects provide opportunities for schools to work with artists over a longer period. They are designed in partnership with participants, teachers and artists. The projects can be adapted for any keystage. Current projects include:
Artist in Residence
Classes work with a creative writer or theatre/dance practitioner on a creative project, chosen by the staff and/or students. This can link to any area of interest and culminate in a performance, exhibit or written work, as chosen by the school.
Production Project
Participants will work with a theatre director to mount a professionally produced drama production.
Cultural Olympiad
Working with an artist, or team of artists to bring your very own cultural Olympiad festival to your school to complete the year and mark the Olympics.
We also create bespoke projects or deliver commissions. Current projects include:
The Energy Collector
Commissioned by Smart Communities, we're working with Fern Hill Primary School to use drama as stimulus to explore learning around energy. Every pupil will contribute to the creation of the The Energy Collector . Inspired by Roger McGough's poem The Sound Collector, the story looks at the use and distribution of energy.
Previous projects include: The Theatre Company , Fruit Puppetry, Newspaper Theatre, Creative Homes, Moving Monsters, Charlie and the Dragon, Food Play, and TheatreLab .
