Our performance projects are opportunities to bring actors and education practitioners into your classroom for a bespoke creative learning project. The performances incorporate opportunities for children to witness new writing and performance in their school hall! Performances include a day of workshops available in a flexible format. Our upcoming projects include:
Something Something Christmassy
Rupert Stratton
A beautiful story combining puppetry, music and storytelling. Maisie's grandma shares the secrets of Christmas with her on Christmas eve, whilst they await her parents return in a snow storm.
The performance is suitable for the whole school. There are a number of options for workshops, including devising Christmas stories, puppetry making and art workshops around Christmas and festive celebrations

Planet Phoenix: The Children's Manifesto
Kirsten Hutton
An environmental sci-fi that launches us straight into a drama where the world is about to explode due to human misuse. A group of ace astronauts are sent to a far off galaxy to seek new life forms. They visit a variety of planets and species, but none suitable for man kind. All hope seems lost, until Mother Nature appears and gives the humans on last chance to rebuild their planet and thus Planet Phoenix is born.
This day combines an opportunity for children to see Planet Phoenix. The school then becomes Phoenix HQ as children work in their classrooms and build a green manifesto for eco action, that can contribute to a whole school eco plan.
Planet Phoenix can also tie in nicely to a creative curriculum with links into Science and Literacy
Available from October 2010-April 2011.
