DEVISING

Participants will explore routes into devising their own piece of theatre. The workshop will look at how subject material, space and audience can all inform the devising process. Students will be able to look at the research and processes used in our Theatre in Unusual Spaces project for ideas on how to develop their material after their workshop.

NEWSPAPER THEATRE

An opportunity to study contemporary affairs, turn it into theatre and explore genre! This workshop is highly entertaining and provokes debate about what constitutes newsworthy

APPROACHES TO THEATRE MAKING
The workshop combines both theory and practical activity to allow students to address a line of enquiry, which will inform and enrich their understanding of making theatre.

Our approaches projects include a focus on: acting, directing, design, script.

PRACTITIONERS IN PERFORMANCE

An opportunity to explore a practitioner and how their methodology has influenced and shaped contemporary theatre making.

Choose from: Stanislavski, Brecht, Boal or Brook.

THEATRE IN EDUCATION

Students can work with our practitioners to develop their own TIE project, using models such as our recent Planet Phoenix project as a platform for inspiration!

SENSORY HISTORY

Using artefacts, archive materials, poetry and music students will devise drama to strengthen and appreciate their understanding of the impact of key historical events.

GLOBAL DRAMA

Linking in with our friends Creative Corners , we are delighted to offer a workshop that introduces students to global arts. In addition, schools will receive a unique set of resources that can help shape Geography and PHSE curriculums amongst others!
