Creatively changing lives

Teachers

We offer a range of opportunities for teachers to enrich their own use of drama as a teaching tool.

Projects

We ensure the workshop is beneficial to the class and the teacher, by incorporating opportunities for teachers to gain additional ideas to use within their own teaching.  We do this by offering a host of resources before, during and after the workshop to maximise the value of the project.

INSETS

Our INSETs combine practical activities to develop use of drama within classroom teaching, along with discussion on how to manage the practical application of using drama in the classroom. All of our workshops come with a teacher pack, which includes further exercises, lesson plans and top tips!

INSETs include:

  • Using drama to teach history
  • Introducing drama to the classroom
  • PLAYwriting: Using drama to improve creative writing
  • Creativity
  • HEAR ME ROAR

If you are looking to create a bespoke INSET to address a particular area or need within your school, please don't hesitate to contact us.

THIS IS MY VOICE: HEAR ME ROAR
A communications project inspired by Charlie and the Dragon

  • This is taught in partnership with Laura Gray and Bounce Theatre. Laura is an experienced teacher of EAL, SEN, BC children. Laura will work with Bounce Theatre practitioner, to offer teachers the opportunity to install a creative methodology of teaching, whilst addressing some of the key challenges faced in day to day teaching.
  • The project will look at teaching communication skills, building confidence, trust and teamwork skills within a class through a range of art, music and drama activities, whilst covering key aspects of the National Curriculum such as literacy and PSHE.
  • Combining a range of behavioural management strategies and arts actitives into the Bounce philosophy, teachers will receive a range of practical tools that they can incorporate in their own teaching, moving naturally towards a creative curriculum.
  • Teachers will be mentored by Laura before, during and for an agreed period after the project. This ensures the project will be bespoke and beneficial to each individual class and teacher. Laura's wealth of experience will allow teachers the opportunity to receive practical, straightforward methods of addressing issues within teaching.
You were great and I really enjoyed the show. It looked great, just the variety of women all looking fabulous was very empowering, even before the first word was said. The Director picked the right voices for each of the monologues - you have to admit your monologue suited your vowels and demeanour.
