Bounce Theatre is delighted to support THEATRELAB in bringing Beautiful Thing to Kingston in October.
Jonathan Harvey's play Beautiful Thing is an urban fairytale, a modern day love story and a beautifully crafted piece of script. The play deals with life growing up on an estate in London and discovering love for the first time.
Beautiful Thing was written in 1993 and adapted by Channel 4 in 1996 for TV. Such was it's popularity it was released in cinema. The play attracted the attention of THEATRELAB for it's diverse themes and relevance for young people today. Bounce's Artistic Director Louise Pendry says "We launched the LAB this year with Romeo and Juliet. After that production, the group wanted to do something with contemporary relevance. I presented them with a number of texts and they fell in love with Beautiful Thing. They bring it to life with a care and attention to detail for the language with a grace that is admirable for such a young company."
The play is being performed at Studio 101 at Kingston College from the 8th-10th October. Tickets can be purchased by calling 02084081124 or emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
