Bounce is delighted to be taking one of their young companies to perform at Tara Arts Studio.
StreetCombo Youth Theatre will be performing Laura Wade's Alice on the 25th June at 7.30pm
This is wonderland as you've never seen it before! While retaining the magic of Lewis Carroll's classic tale, this adaptation breathes fresh life into the much-loved story about rabbit holes, pocket watches and talking caterpillars. The new adaptation follows Alice as she escapes her bedroom to find adventure in a topsy-turvy world. The White Rabbit is still late for the Duchess. The Cheshire Cat still won't stop grinning. And the Hatter is, well, still mad. But in the middle of it all is a very modern Alice, a young girl with a vivid imagination and a family life that's far from perfect.
StreetCombo Youth Theatre was established by Bounce in 2010, following an Arts Council Commission to deliver a Be Creative Be Well project. The group is resident at the Ermine Centre on the Meadows Estate. Members range from 9-16 in age and have achieved great things in their first year - devising a performance from older people's memories, returning a traditional carol event to the estate after 20 years and producing Grimm Tales last Christmas.
