Dance Maths: Maths for Primary Schools

19 Feb 2012

Bounce Theatre is delighted to be expanding their pool of workshops for Primary schools, with a range of Dance Maths workshops.

From April 2012, the Company will be working with Creative Associate Arpyl Pipe to provide a range of workshops, which through dance, allow Maths to be practical, physical and multi-sensory

Through becoming Maths Ninja's, choreographers and story tellers, children will explore shape, pattern, fractions, multiplication, word puzzles and more. Artistic Director Louise Pendry says 'Our style of work has always leant itself to be physical theatre. Apryl has worked with us on our last two productions, supporting young people in learning to dance or using ballet principals to create character. It's made us realise that this could be developed further and subjects such as Maths could become both practical and purposeful through dance."
