Bounce Theatre is delighted to be running it's first Older Peoples theatre group.
Working in partnership with Age Uk (Hounslow), the company is delivering weekly sessions for older people as part of their Tiny Tales project in Hounslow.
The company will be working together for the next seven months, collecting and dramatizing memories and stories around the themes of friendship and adventure. The company will be working with local youth theatres, also run by Bounce, to explore the potential for intergenerational work.
Project Director Louise Pendry explains "Our new group is an exciting adventure for Bounce. We've recently completed two intergenerational projects, whereby younger people interviewed older people about their past and turned these into performance. However, we felt we wanted to go one step more and create a project whereby both generations could meet, with mutual knowledge around a theme of shared interest- in this case friendship and explore the possibilities together.
