Bounce Theatre are delighted to launch their next production of Oliver Twist in Hampton this November for five performances only!
Adapted by Neil Bartlett, the script uses all of Dicken's own language, drawing inspiration from Victorian music halls and melodrama, the production vividly depicts the underbelly of Victorian London life through the eyes of a small boy.
Uniquely, this production stars local teenagers and adults working together to mount the production. Artistic Director Louise Pendry explains "We felt that a mixed age cast of local people, performing a classic story such as Oliver Twist would be a perfect end to our Reminiscence season! The cast are a delight to work with, it's fantastic to see all the ages mix and the adults show a great willingness to learn from the teenagers and vice versa."
The production is housed by Hampton Community College, which is a specialist arts college. Director of Specialism Claire McCormack says "HCC are delighted to be hosting this production, which is for the community by the community"
The show runs from the 19th-22nd November 2008 at 7.30pm with an additional matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £5.00 and can be reserved by calling 02084081124 or emailing .
