Bounce Theatre are delighted to announce a new opportunity for young people to engage with theatre through their Theatre Reviewers scheme.
The company will be producing Oliver Twist this November at Hampton Community College. For five performances between the 19th and 22nd November, teenage and adult members of the local community will be starring in the production, directed and supported by a crew of professional practitioners.
To celebrate the production and provide an opportunity for schools to join in, the company have launced a Theatre Reviewers scheme for school groups. Created by Bounce's Creative Producer Kirsten Hutton, all schools will receive a resource pack prior to seeing the show. This will give them background information about Oliver Twist, along with directors notes about the show. Accompanying this will a set of literacy resources that will show students how to write a theatre review. Following their visit to the show, students will be invited to submit reviews to Bounce. They will be judged by Alice Thurling (MA Cantab), a local writer , the three winning reviews will be posted on Bounce's website and win drama workshops for their class!
For more information about the production please visit the company website http://www.bouncetheatre.com or call 02084081124.
I wholeheartedly believe in your ethos and methodology, you strive to get the best from the children.
