Primary Workshops for Multicultural week

Bounce Theatre is delighted to announce a new set of workshops for Primary Schools Multi-Cultural week.
Traditional Tale: New Voice uses cultural stories and the process of story telling to broaden children's understanding of other cultures and places. Through the workshop children will be able to recreate the story and learn more about another culture through the themes, language, characters and traditions that may accompany it.
Artistic Director Louise Pendry explains more "We wanted to create a flexible project for schools whereby they could work with us from anything to half a day to the full week. The first workshop enables children to engage in understanding more about the country or culture they may be studying. Schools can choose to expand this, so our musicians may follow up with a music workshop around the same country, equally the same with a dance or visual arts workshop. This can lead to the whole school creating a cultural performance by the end of the week- this can include everything from traditional performance, to dance to shadow puppetry! We have created IDEAs packs for teachers and coordinators that enable them to set a timetable that bests suits them, so children can experience a carousel of activities.
