Bounce Theatre is delighted to be organizing V-day Kingston. Vday is a global event, which brings women in local communities together to perform the award winning Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler.

The company are inviting local women to join us on the 19th to rehearse and perform the show over the evening and the afternoon of the 20th. Director Louise Pendry says "V-day celebrates inclusivity, we want to ensure anyone who would like to performance can do so. Women do not have to have any performance experience, or learn their lines as we will provide everyone with prompt cards. They can perform individually, with a friend or as a group. We also encourage everyone to come along, as it's a production guaranteed to make your laugh!" The show will take place on the 20th March at 8pm. All profit will be split between Kingston Women's Refuge, Haiti charities working with women and orphans and IDAI orphanage in Bolivia. IDAI is an orphanage for 23 handicapped children. Resources are so scarce there is often a shortage of nappies, so there will be various activities in the Front of House on the 20th to try and raise an additional nappy fund.

You were great and I really enjoyed the show. It looked great, just the variety of women all looking fabulous was very empowering, even before the first word was said. The Director picked the right voices for each of the monologues - you have to admit your monologue suited your vowels and demeanour.
