Our Impact

Helping people feel happy

Since our inception, Bounce has moved and changed with the times. However, we have never wavered from our belief that participating with us should make people feel happier. â€‹Happiness is a complex emotion and to make authentic change you have to recognise people’s individual life circumstances. So, whilst we measure our impact in reports, as storytellers, it is often the tiny testimonials that move us the most.

"What I love about Bounce is it allows me to try new things which I never thought I'd like, and it gives me more confidence to be myself and not to worry what people think of me. It's given me a chance to be me and show me it's okay to be yourself. So really, what I love about the projects is, well, everything!"

Nurturing the Next Generation of Artists

We have supported hundreds of children and young people to make theatre to feel well. Our members have gone on to pursue studies in the creative industries at the Brit School and at university - forging careers in digital arts, theatre, and film making.

Supporting Emerging Practitioners

We have always nurtured new talent - creating volunteering and employment opportunities for people who may traditionally not have thought to access a career in the arts. We offer employment where possible to our participants who want to gain experience to work in the industry. We are proud to see them forging their own careers in participatory arts.

“Thank you again for giving me so much work over the course of this year, with a company and in an industry I love.”

Championing Female Businesses

Bounce has always been a female-led business. We have supported a number of creative practitioners who have gone on to establish their own projects and social enterprises.

We recently supported independent artist Eclectic Gift to obtain her first grant to establish WomanKind - an arts project for women of colour as part of Wandsworth Black History 365 programme. Prior to this, we have championed the evolution of Meet & Make Spaces, Heifer Productions, and Creative Spaces.

Contributing to the Ecology of Our Community

Since our inception we have always placed work in community spaces. Post-pandemic we have become part of the ecology of the local community in Wandsworth, establishing projects at the Home Café in Earlsfield which have led to the formation of new community projects for vulnerable mothers and craft projects for other pockets of the community.

We have donated £5000 to Earlsfield Food Bank through our doorstep Christmas performance where our Santa and Elf visited over 300 houses.

We have built up a network of partnerships to whom we donate our bid-writing skills to - this has included raising £95,000 for Anstee Bridge.
