Our Impact: Helping People Feel Happier
At Bounce, our core belief remains unchanged: participation with us should bring joy. While we’ve grown and evolved over the years, our mission to create spaces where people experience happiness remains constant. Happiness is a complex emotion, and to create meaningful change, we must understand and respond to each individual’s unique circumstances. Although we measure our impact through formal reports, it’s the personal stories - the small but powerful testimonials - that really highlight the lasting effect we have on people’s lives.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Artists
Bounce has helped hundreds of children and young people create theatre that not only entertains but also supports their mental and emotional wellbeing. Many of our members have gone on to study at esteemed institutions like the Brit School and universities, pursuing careers in digital arts, theatre, and film. These young artists are shaping their own futures, demonstrating how our work boosts the next generation of creative professionals.

Supporting Emerging Practitioners
From the start, we’ve been committed to supporting new talent and providing volunteering and employment opportunities for individuals who might not have considered a career in the arts. By offering hands-on experience, we help participants gain the skills needed to pursue careers in participatory arts. Many of them have since launched their own careers, proving that with the right support, the arts can be an accessible and transformative path.

Championing Female-Led Businesses
As a female-led organisation, Bounce has always been dedicated to supporting women in the arts. We’ve helped several creative practitioners develop their own initiatives and social enterprises. Recently, we supported Eclectic Gift, an independent artist, in securing her first grant to launch WomanKind - an arts project for women of colour as part of the Wandsworth Black History 365 programme. We’ve also supported the growth of other significant projects like Meet & Make Spaces, Heifer Productions, and Creative Spaces, lifting women up to lead and thrive in the arts.

Contributing to the Ecology of Our Community
Bounce has always been deeply connected to community. Post-pandemic, we’ve become a key part of the Wandsworth community, with projects at the Home Community Café in Earlsfield. These initiatives have sparked new community efforts, including programs for vulnerable mothers and local craft groups. Beyond our arts programming, we also support community needs - such as raising £5,000 for the Earlsfield Food Bank through our festive doorstep performance, where our Santa and Elf visited over 300 homes.

Through our growing network of partnerships, we’ve used our bid-writing expertise to help raise £95,000 for Anstee Bridge and other local initiatives. Our contributions continue to create meaningful impact, fostering positive change within the communities we serve.
