The Way We Work

Learning at Bounce

At Bounce, learning is at the heart of everything we do.

We create bespoke projects in schools and alternative learning settings that place students at the centre of the process. Each project invites them to take creative risks, think critically, and collaborate meaningfully.

Our approach is flexible, responsive, and tailored to the unique strengths and needs of each group we work with.

Our work supports key learning goals including critical thinking, empathy, and social-emotional development. We believe creative learning through theatre can have a lasting ripple effect - sparking joy, connection, and meaningful growth across the whole school community.

Our Approach to Learning

We work in close partnership with teachers to design arts-rich experiences that support both personal development and curricular learning. Our approach is grounded in co-creation, curiosity, and care.

Question-Led

Projects begin with a central question or provocation - often drawn from students’ lives or curriculum areas - to allow space for curiosity, creative thinking, communication, and critical inquiry.

Collaborative Work

Students co-create original work, drawing on multiple art forms to develop narratives and express ideas. The process is guided but open-ended, empowering students to shape both content and form.

Cross-Curricular Projects

We collaborate with teachers across subjects - from history and English to PSHE and the arts - to explore themes through embodied, creative, and interdisciplinary approaches.

Reflections & Impact

We continually reflect on our practice and its impact - listening to students, teachers, and partners to guide how we grow.

What we hear:

  • Students report increased confidence, stronger communication skills, and a deeper sense of belonging.

  • Teachers observe enhanced engagement, creativity, and collaboration in the classroom.

  • Our projects often have long-term benefits - supporting emotional literacy, resilience, and classroom relationships.
